90 books

today i found out that a grad student is allowed to check out 90 books at one time. not that i have that many checked out, but i thought it was a good factoid going into thesis.

and... the design library is amazing right now. empty, quiet, and all of the books are in! i walked around campus a little today and it hit me — i am just really happy. i'm so glad that i took a chance on grad school. i think it's one of the best choices that i have ever made.

that's great that you feel you did the right thing. It's lots of hard work but it'll be worth it in the end.

your decision to move back to chicago will trump that whole grad school choice in about 1 year's time...

haha!

Grad school is a ton of work, but super rewarding. Especially when you graduate! You definitely did the right thing.

Marty, I think I had a similar happy-lightening-strike moment between my 1st and 2nd year at the library too! I agree, grad school was one of my best decisions too!
